Training
Effective training of staff impacted by changed processes and supporting systems is an essential step in readying them to be competent and confident in the performance of their roles once changes are implemented.
Spear Consulting trainers collaborate with business analysts and client subject matter experts to understand the extent and nature of planned changes in business processes and identify how these will impact the activities of impacted individuals and teams within the organisation.
This information is used to identify specific training needs and develop relevant training strategies and supporting materials for each group.
Strategies applied may include:
- face-to-face instruction in small work groups or larger classrooms
- centralised “train the trainer” for distributed delivery of training
- computer based training using pre-production versions of updated systems
- scenario based training using realistic transaction scenarios developed in conjunction with client subject matter experts and business analysts
- selection and development of business coaches or “super users” from within impacted teams to champion the planned changes, support the delivery of pre-implementation training, and deliver post-implementation on-site support.
